Open with MV Experience

Put it next to the link to your .mvexperience file. With the app installed, a tap opens your experience. Without it, your viewer lands on a page that says what to do.

The link ends with the address of your file, percent-encoded. That address must start with https.

How to watch
This experience opens in MV Experience, a free app for Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, iPad and Mac.
1. Get MV Experience: mvexperience.app/download
2. Download [file name].mvexperience.
3. Open it. On Apple Vision Pro, iPhone or iPad, tap it in Files, or accept it by AirDrop. On Mac, double-click it.
It lands in your Library. On Apple Vision Pro, it surrounds you. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, it plays in a window: drag to look around.
This file is signed by [your name]. MV Experience shows the signature when you open it.

If the file has a password

The password is sent separately. Type it when MV Experience asks.

If the file has an expiration date

You can watch it until [date].

Sharing a password

  • Send the password apart from the file. If the file went by email, send the password by message.
  • Anyone who has the password can play the file. Like any password, it can be passed on.
  • Without a password, anyone with MV Experience can play your file. For client work or paid content, set one.
  • To change it, export the experience again with a new password and send the new file.

Your website can vouch for you

When your website lists your signing key, viewers see that the key belongs to your site. A website proves control of a domain, not who a person is.

If your files are served from another host, such as a CDN, list it in the same file, under download_hosts.

When someone opens your file from an “Open with MV Experience” link, MV Experience then shows that the file comes from your own site, with a check mark.

Guidelines

Do

  • Use the badges as they are, with clear space around them.
  • Link them to your file or to mvexperience.app/download.
  • Say what the file is: a film, a tour, a program, and how many videos.

Don’t

  • Change the badge’s colors, text or icon.
  • Suggest that MV Experience or Morin Innovation made, checked or endorses your content.
  • Promise more than the file does. Without a password, anyone with MV Experience can play it, and it is not DRM.
  • Use the Apple logo, or put Apple’s “Download on the App Store” badge inside ours. Use Apple’s badge only as Apple’s guidelines allow.
